This website is run by Tintinhull Parish Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

Some PDF and Office documents published on this website are not fully accessible to screen reader software or keyboard users. For example, some documents may:
- not contain fully structured headings
- not be tagged correctly for assistive technologies
- contain scanned content that cannot be read by screen readers
- have insufficient colour contrast in places
- not contain alternative text for images

Many of these documents are historic files provided before accessibility regulations came into force or before current accessibility processes were implemented.
New documents published by Tintinhull Parish Council will aim to meet accessibility standards wherever possible. We are also working to replace or remediate older key documents as resources allow.
Some parts of the website rely on third-party software and plugins. While we aim to ensure these systems are as accessible as possible, some issues remain outside of the council’s direct control. These may include:
- minor keyboard navigation issues
- inconsistent focus indicators

Disproportionate burden
At present, the council believes that retrospectively updating all historic documents published before September 2018 would represent a disproportionate burden due to the volume of archived material and the limited administrative resources available.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents published before 23 September 2018 are exempt from the accessibility regulations unless they are needed for active administrative processes or services.
Live video streams do not currently contain captions because live video is exempt from the accessibility regulations.
